The team took to the road again in May, traveling to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Vermont and races near and far in New York. Happily, we racked up results where ever we went. The team’s versatility was on display as top spots were earned in time trials, circuit races, criteriums and road races. David and Fabienne both raced to podium finishes in the TT and road race at the Tour de Ephrata. New Jersey time trial victories went to Laura Lee Vo in the eddy category at the Somerset and Freehold time trials. Fabienne also tt’d to first place in Freehold’s 123 field, followed closely by Ann Marie Miller in second. Early May brought road race wins to David Taylor at the Turkey Hill Classic and Ann Marie at the Tour of Colt’s Neck.
Success followed the team north as Fabienne out climbed the lead break of four to first place in the Tour de Syracuse road race. Meanwhile, Laura Lee took 3rd in the cat 3 road race and Colleen finished 5th in the cat 3 omnium. Closer to home, Ann Marie outsprinted her break away partner for first place in Long Island’s Wantaugh Crit.
The team capped off the month with the entire women’s squad racing and celebrating birthdays at the Killington Road Race in Vermont. The highlight was certainly Laura Lee’s birthday win in the opening circuit race!
